Correct! The blue one was made somewhere around 1981 for a CIA delegation visiting us. Victorinox back then requested a minimum of 13 to be made :)

The blue on was custom made as a gift for guys visiting from Langley. I kept 2 of 13 made :-)
The other one is a commerative edition with gold inlays for Switzerlands 700th birthday.

The brown ones were issued to soldiers 2nd WW. The silver ones somewhere in the 70 to 80. These are just the ones within reach, there are some more.
To lift you need to push 2 buttons on mine. To lower you need to push 2 buttons plus the security handle. Cant lower the thing with one hand only. :thumbup:
I was having a hard time with the weight of my 6.5 meter workbench. The legs would not hold the weight.
I ended up in IKEA buying kitchen furniture to host the bench.
Cheap, good an lots of drawers as a surplus.
