Why a "re-issue" if you can get the real one? :D

My wife starts asking why I run around with all these knifes lately :-) They are all over my place. Some have never been opened.

Correct! The blue one was made somewhere around 1981 for a CIA delegation visiting us. Victorinox back then requested a minimum of 13 to be made :) I don't really collect them. They are just around :)

Thanks! There I found 2 more. The blue on was custom made as a gift for guys visiting from Langley. I kept 2 of 13 made :-) The other one is a commerative edition with gold inlays for Switzerlands 700th birthday.

We call knifes issued by the Army "Army Knife" The rest, with cork screws, toothpics etc. are just called Pocket Knife ( Sackmesser)

Being Swiss, I have some :-) The brown ones were issued to soldiers 2nd WW. The silver ones somewhere in the 70 to 80. These are just the ones within reach, there are some more.

Don, are you sure you don't have Swiss roots? You could be Swiss anytime! :-)

To lift you need to push 2 buttons on mine. To lower you need to push 2 buttons plus the security handle. Cant lower the thing with one hand only. :thumbup:

Go for something used from Ricardo, Anibis, Tutti or such. Plenty available and easy to install. Buy some paint if needed to make it look nice :)

I was having a hard time with the weight of my 6.5 meter workbench. The legs would not hold the weight. I ended up in IKEA buying kitchen furniture to host the bench. Cheap, good an lots of drawers as a surplus.

That door looks cool! Just leave it the way it is! Some things have to look a little imperfect.
