Aprilaire humidifier not getting it done?

I have the newer control but is not hooked up to come on when humidity is low. Now that I think about it I cannot just run the fan because I have a large water to air coil after the A coil and use a coal boiler for primary heat. I have 2 thermostats, one runs the furnace normally and the other...

Aprilaire humidifier not getting it done?

This could be an issue. When the furnace was installed we did oversize it because I knew I would be adding on. Since installation I have added 420sqft and am almost finished with another 520. That should definitely add to my cycle times.

Aprilaire humidifier not getting it done?

Thanks Larry, that makes sense. I do have the hot water line hooked up but will move unit to the hot side and I might get lucky and have the humidifier hooked to run off the fan now, will have to check. Anyone have the steam version?

Aprilaire humidifier not getting it done?

Search didn't give me the results for my issue.....I cannot get enough moisture in my house during the winter, lots of static! I have a forced air system with a Aprilaire 700 power whole house humidifier (evaporation style) mounted on the return just before the filter. I had a ducted version...

    LED tubes, clear or frosted?

Efficiency increase on this old oil burner?

7 NO WAY! I just sold my Central Boiler last year......don't get me wrong, it worked great but it consumed way to much of my time to keep it fed. I sold it to my BIL and bought a coal boiler to replace it and that has worked out wonderfully!

Efficiency increase on this old oil burner?

A few years ago my friend who has works in the commercial HVAC field brought me the 2.5 nozzles as the one we took out was a 3.0 but we did not make any changes to pressure??? Maybe we should have? I think now from the advice from the members I am looking at Clean Burn heaters. It would be great...

Efficiency increase on this old oil burner?

Yes I have thought about getting a custom tarp made through a Tarp Stop which does tarps for Semi's. They quoted me around $600 a couple years ago. Only problem is I have been doing a lot of fabrication work which my saw and steel rack are in the back end. With the car lift in the North/front...

Efficiency increase on this old oil burner?

Really couldn't use a boiler as I'm not in there everyday so I would want to pay to keep the water hot while not in use. I went to Blissfield high also but graduated from Deerfield. Class of '91!

Efficiency increase on this old oil burner?

The exhaust is power vented through the lower front of the unit and there is a 50' 12" stack outside.
