What do I need to drill into this steel?

I agree with nick, start small and work your way up. Yes it's going to be a process for sure.

    Would I regret a 4 post lift?

I had a Direct 4 post lift mostly to allow more room for storage of other car underneath but did do some small front suspension work, oil changes and really liked it because my lift could be moved around with those caster wheels that were included. The car on lift was a rotisserie restoration...

Mini-Split vs Gas or Electric Heat in Detached Garage - Detroit Area

No not a hotel unit! Typical HVAC for a 20 year old home with the AC condenser outside on cement pad and gas furnace in the attic. Dual Pac may have not have been the correct term I used earlier.

Mini-Split vs Gas or Electric Heat in Detached Garage - Detroit Area

I usually pay around $2.00 a gallon for propane. Cooling In the summer, we are pretty much around 95-100 degrees each day for about 3+ months. On the house I have two dual Pac AC units because the house is rather long and only single story. I never run both at the same time and we only have the...

Modine Hot Dawg worth double the price of Mr. Heater hanging propane heaters?

So I recently purchased a Mr. Heater Big Maxx 50btu at a scratch and dent place for $280 in the box. The box was pretty beat up but the guy let me pull it out and look it over. I opened up two with too much damage but probably still good to use, I was just picky. He had about 10 of the 50K and...

Mini-Split vs Gas or Electric Heat in Detached Garage - Detroit Area

Yes those buildings were likely all over 100 years old or likely very much more that I saw. I own my shop 500 gallon Propane tank so I can go and find the best price each summer when the price is low and usually get it for around $2.00 or $2.25 a gallon delivered. I also have an owned 1000 gal...

Mini-Split vs Gas or Electric Heat in Detached Garage - Detroit Area

I was recently in Europe and it is amazing how many of these split systems you see, everywhere from apartments to small shops. I would have installed one in my shop but the cost of electricity to run the thing here in California would be too expensive. Our electrical bills have gone up 83%...

    Above 1200 Sq/FT Swanny's Garage Expansion Project

Thanks for all the pics at least I got to see something from the show and the Sphere. I am going in early February for the Mecum motorcycle auction and likely take in the Sphere. I also want to do the Raiders Allegiant stadium off hours tour of the facility.

    Above 1200 Sq/FT Swanny's Garage Expansion Project

Lucky you got to go to SEMA, I went about 10 years ago thanks to a friend who had a shop. I tried to go last year with his help and geez what a nightmare with those people. SEMA wanted a pay stub from them showing I was an employee and if my wife wanted to go we had to send them a copy of our...

    Between 705 & 1200 SQ/FT French garage

Glad you survived the divorce with all or most of your stuff. Nice you posted some photos since the others are locked out. I just came back from Europe and actually visited Marseille for a day, was part of the cruise trip stops.

    Heater size?

I would like to know how his heater choice worked out after all the debate and the change of btu choice. Vintage guy, I think the corner facing out works best so as to not short one side or the other too much. Getting ready to install a Maxx 50 shortly here. But I am only in zone 9

Down to last step of Heater selection, Cast your vote so I can green light it!

I am in zone 9  and going to install a propane Maxx 50k heater in my 4 car wood structure shop with 10' ceiling. No real insulation and is detached from the house. No drywall in the ceiling but I do have all doors insulated.

Anyone know anything about septic systems? (This seems closet to a "Plumbing" forum here)

I would get a 2nd or 3 opinion as the said he "thinks" the sides may collapse soon. Maybe just some deterioration of a fairly thick cement wall. My lift pump lasted 20 years to my leach line no grinder used.
