I would be concerned as to the type of plastic the hoses are made of. From a medical and longevity stand point.

I have had a set of them for going on 40 years and have used them maybe 5 or 6 times. Unless all you have is breaker bars and no ratchets I don't see the point in them.

As others have said clean up the edge and you'll have a fine scraper.
