Any of you guys work through college?

Yep, worked as a mechanic a the local Chevy dealership getting my engineering degree, but it was in the 70's. The dealership worked around my classes and save all of the electrical problems for me since no one else wanted them. I was younger and was married the last year. I would hold of on...

    work benches... from scratch

Hmm, id something like this for temporary shelving, but I didn't use any strong ties. I just ripped sheets in half made 2x4 frame for 2' wide by 8' shelf and just screwed it all together to some studs for legs. I only had to cut the short 2x4s and rip the sheets. Not much waste, no notching...

    Re-mudding Drywall Tape

If you have done bodywork drywall can be frustrating because you try to get it too flat and smooth. With taped joint don't try to sand it flat, just knock off the ridges with a wide knife and a damp sponge before putting on the next coat or texture.

Any one use pegboard instead of tool boxes?

Tool boxes are great for someone who breaks in to steal your tools. Saves them a lot of time not having to take them off the wall.

    Help with picking a laser

I bought the Bosch line level when my old dot laser level died. It worked hi and low and across the my bedroom remodel. Leveled my floor before putting down wood, shot lines across the ceiling for can lights and across the walls for electrical outlets and TV mounts. I don't miss the dot level.
