    Alabama 24x30 makeover -- The MR2 house

I like what you've done! I also wanted to get a metallic paint for my cupboard doors too. Interested to see your 'good' pictures. Did you consider filling the wood grain in the 2x4 frames to give it a smooth finish? I've been playing with the idea myself.

    Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT 1950s Craftsman Garage retro remodel

I epoxied my floor - with the Rustoleum kit (EpoxyShield) and it really wasn't hard. Mine was a new floor, so that was a good start, but I just washed it with the etching stuff provided in the kit, let it dry, and then just went ahead and rolled, making sure I put the 'sprinkles' on as I went...

Bill, it seems pretty obvious that your plan is working. I understand you've got a plan and it sure seems to be working and you're making good progress! Really interested to see the pics once they're ready! Hope you're enjoying the journey!

From a blank slate...well, with walls and doors already

Thanks everyone for the "you ****", I know it's pretty much the best wishes given on the GJ. :) Dan, Pic1,2 are of the 'sammy' (as dubbed by the hardware guy at the store). It gets screwed right into the ceiling joist through the drywall. It's a lag type bolt with a thread inside to thread the...

    Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT 1950s Craftsman Garage retro remodel

Well, I still have a long ways to go on the garage, so it will definitely come in useful for building all my cabinets, etc. Then I've got other little projects and crafty things to do around the house, and a shed, and a fence....lots of opportunities.

RL, check out my latest garage sale find! Look at my garage thread (below) and you'll see it. I'll give you a little clue below. But being the craftsman guy, you know it's a craftsman anyway.

From a blank slate...well, with walls and doors already

So this past Saturday was garage sale day at a neighbourhood near hear and there are 100's of sales. My little family headed down there for the morning and I was hoping to find a table saw as mine isn't working out so well with it's 11 1/2" of fence adjustment. At one particular house, a...

    Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT The 12-Gauge Garage

Glad everyone's OK! On the Oddysey front, if you're buying used, there's a number of years to watch out for for bad Auto ******'s. I like the look of the nameplate. I'm not sure if it looks better because it matches your tile...but the cream gives it a bit of a vintage look, like the green does...

Robertson's are great. They are a Canadian invention I believe and are the standard. We figured out the US doesn't use Robertson after making a truckload of wooden shipping crates and had to replace all the screws after we were finished! America is just stubborn and doesn't want to admit to...

North Texas Garage Re-do....as slowly as possible

Looks good. I like the cabinet. I also can't stand 'unsturdy', although I probably would have lived with it because my cheapness would win out :) I am currently starting to build a shelf/cabinet for the baby room...with a Circ. saw & guide...I guess I'll see how it works :S Looks like your...

    Grunge Garage

Curious why you don't haul stuff yourself instead of calling the scrappers for pick up? Or is it not worth much? I'm thinking a few piles in your yard- scrap metals (separated), wood to burn, garbage - then haul a pile away once you've got a trailer load. About your health, I agree, your...

Got some sweet new tools for the garage for my birthday a little while back. They will help building the cabinets as well as other woodworking projects I'm hoping to do. The plug strip will probably go by my fold-down workbench that will be along the left wall.

The Watermans Garage - 2 Car Attached

That storage belongs on the "best of garagejournal" thread. I know I've seen it before, but it is executed awesome here, especially with the lighting in there! Lol, I even pinned it on pinterest! I hope you don't mind :) I wanted to do the same with my bikes, but wondered about the...
