    Best tool for trimming door

"Ryobi Wood Door Trimmer" at HD is less that $20 and works pretty well if things aren't too out-of-whack. Hooks to your cordless drill, has a handle for guidance/leverage, easily stored. Very easy to use, worth considering.

Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT My new garage in Wales

WELL DONE, Sir. Reminds me much of my garage in Germany 35 years ago, filled nearly all the way with a single '71 Beetle. Sanded, primed and painted with rattle cans, not a terrible result and always passed the inspection. Good days gone by....

Tool pouch that can be used alone, on a belt, on a shoulder strap, and on a ladder?

Occidental Leather has a few clip on textile pouches of various sizes that might be just the ticket.....occidental belt not required. Check out models 9501/2 and 9511, plus the 9503/4

    Recommend me a splitting axe

Over at HD they have this unit: Model# HDSMAXE-8-HUSKY. A maul/sledge rig that's very effective when you alter your swing a bit and let it do its thing. Good aim and technique usually means a one-and-done whack. Inexpensive and super-durable. Its not Fiskars, its just a big dumb piece of...

    What is your Pet Peeve?

Mostly being asked what my pet peeve is.....and that well-meaning fellow that wants me to pull up a chair so we can be friends. I'd rather stand, but Thanks just the same. I already consider all of my like-minded Garage Journal Brothers and Sisters, wherever they may be, as friends. To be...

Your longest possession in tools thread

1/2 inch drive Indestro socket set with ratchet and breaker bar, Pops bought it in 1948, it shows age and hard use but it's always my go-to rig. Part of the deal is that it was his and he used it to feed his family before I was even born, keeping it at his machinist job until he retired....but...

    Opinions on klein wire strippers

A Klein Katapult is a nice piece of kit....clean and quick assuming you know the AWG, Initially a bit awkward but really fast once you get used to the mechanism.
