And... another year has come and gone. I've managed to get the little workshop area insulated and all electrical work done. Toy car is slowly coming along, should be rolling again in a month or so. Now that that is going well... We've decided to move. New house will have a three car...

Wife and kids are all napping...so off to the garage... Finally got the hose reel I got for Christmas up, mounted, and plumbed. Now just need to use it.

I used Rapid Air lines to connect the compressor. I'm real happy with how easily it all went together. No leaks and the flexible line weaved around the walls as advertised. I added an extra port to one block, but other than that no changes so far

It's been a little while...A one year old made my time in the garage come to a screeching halt. I got few pneumatic tools for Christmas. I couldn't find a rack for just deep sockets, so I made a little rack for them that fits nicely in the drawer.

thanks...had some #4 finish laying around so I went for the overkill. The nice finish won't last, had to get a picture while I had the chance. I couldn't find a rack to just hold deep sockets. Seemed like everything was deep and shallow combos.

I was in a similar situation when I was looking for a house. I ended up going with a detached garage that I could add a work shop area on the side of.

I've never had any luck trying to work on cars when you have two in a two car garage. Even with an 18' door, I back out one and park the other in the middle to work on it. And I'd definitely go for extra length. That'll give you some room to add storage and work bench areas

I'm going the metal route. Here is the small metal pegboard I made as a test. The pegboard is offset about 3/4" from the wall to allow for thin switches/outlets to fit in. Full size version will be 6'x3' to go along the back of my workbench.

Didn't get too much done this weekend... Finally got the tire rack installed and cleaned up the work top a little.
