Interior Garage Walls - What's best?

This is very important… You can see I ran a hose reel up high and hide the hose from the compressor in the wall in a conduit so I can service it. Also, those pull boxes are for tree lights and other power outside. I put in extra one as well. Plan all plugs and 30 amp plugs for compressor and...

Interior Garage Walls - What's best?

One way to get good at something…drywall is not that hard…just labor intensive. I smooth walled my garage a couple years ago. Bought a 200 buck lift for the 5/8” ceiling boards…sold it for 100 after I was done. Saves your back.

    Recessed mid-rise scissors lift questions

There is a thread with an epic pit build on here somewhere. Guy did a fantastic job on it, documenting the hell outa it and was very informed about his every step.

Ideas for Outdoor bench and vise setup.

I will try to remember to take a pic of the vice mounted I made and with it installed. You need a big bolt or handle to secure the vice when the BFH comes out…

Ideas for Outdoor bench and vise setup.

I use this with grinding and dirty ****…I have a nice Vice mounted to a 2” receiver tube that slides into that mount. Works great and gets the vice outa the weather.

    Trenching bucket width

Use the 12” and add a couple extra conduit for future projects. Every time I have a treacherous open…12”…I add a 1” water line, couple of 3/4 or 1” electric conduit and in a trench to the dock a comms conduit and propane line for a BBQ and fire pit on the landing. My trenches are all a *****...

How do I insulate an existing, finished garage?

I thought that too… Until I had it done and tested to see if the insulation fully penetrated and thoroughly filled every bay. I did it last year on a 70 year old summer vacation home that gets used year round. It is quite a system and it is indeed very good at filling every small nook and...

Best table saw blade (can I cut nails with it?)

They are fine for their intended task. Cheaper construction level blades. They do have some nice table saw blades but they, like any company, charge more. If you go into a woodworking shop and look at top line blades they are beefier and like I said…bigger chunks of carbide. You get to pay...

    The Shape Of Tomorrow

My son lived in Boulder for about 7 years…nice place and the University is top notch (they charged for that too). Ironically, I am flying out tomorrow AM to Denver to help him move back to CA for a job…loved hanging out and exploring in the Flatirons and beyond…

Best table saw blade (can I cut nails with it?)

You cutting nails is going to lead to a few chipped teeth. Diablo is fine for what you are going to do. If you want glass smooth cuts get Oldham, CMT or other similar high end blades…they have larger carbide tips that take A new edge better too.
