    First Welder

If I was to buy a new welder for my garage I would buy a Lincoln POWER MIG® 210 MP Multi-Process Welder - K3963-1 does stick mig tig including aluminum with the spool gun for just over a grand. Always wanted an inexpensive mig/tig welder.

    Size of Air Compressor Needed

Sorry been busy lately. I have an older one which I find works well. You do have to do some checking on brake fluid levels and topping up when using but works fine for me. The air bleeders are bit more lets say automatic and faster, so if time is imperative with you then stay with the power...

    Size of Air Compressor Needed

According to the Lincoln specs on the bleeder you need at least 4.3CFM@90lbs, so a compressor larger than those specs is needed. Watch out for some of those little hand portables, they will not have enough cfm. Do you need a power brake bleeder for mobile work, wouldn't a hand pump bleeder be...

    Campbell Hausfeld Air Compressor TQ3101

Start up for your motor is 22.7 Amps so would need a minimum circuit of 30 amps just for the motor. What about the rest of the garage? What point are you trying to make? :dunno:

    Campbell Hausfeld Air Compressor TQ3101

Thanks Matthew I seen that one but 10.3 CFM @90 is a bit low for some of my body work tools and a small blast cabinet (needs 12 CFM @90 minimum). All I asked if that particular compressor is good if others have it. Never really asked for what compressor to use? I have been a mechanic for over...

    Campbell Hausfeld Air Compressor TQ3101

Most 5HP dual stage compressors take at min. 30 amps at 208-240v that I have seen. Too much power draw for my small garage.

    Campbell Hausfeld Air Compressor TQ3101

Thanks just a small two bay backyard garage with no hoist. Was just looking for a 5HP 17 amp 208-240v 16CFM@90. Thought this is just what I am looking for. Cast iron compressor 4cyl single stage max 140lbs. Don't need a 2 stage don't have the electrical for it.

    Campbell Hausfeld Air Compressor TQ3101

3 1/2 hr drive to the border, so 7 hrs both ways. Then order to a border pickup site take it across customs. Gas for the truck, I don't think I'd save much in the long run. Not just a 60 gallon tank but 16 CFM? The price isn't that far out...

    Campbell Hausfeld Air Compressor TQ3101

Looking for an air compressor for my shop (in Canada). I liked the Sears 14.1 SCFM @ 90lbs compressor but for $1299 a ripoff. I emailed them and said the price (in Canada) was about $300 too much. They emailed me back and said I could wait for a sale (basically they didn't care) KMS is a tool...
