I'm not responding here to debate you. as I said earlier, I came on here to educate and inform, to correct miss- information and turn opinion into fact. But you are not qualified to call me a liar, I laid out my experience and qualifications and believe they speak for themselves. If you believe...
Mechanism failures. Broken hammer frames, hammers and anvil splines. Anyone can make a high torque tool by either overdriving the mechanism with an oversized motor or with a heavy mechanism with high-inertia. It takes responsible engineering to create a high powered tool that lasts. If you...
Zero marketing, just the facts. Sorry you are not able to find anvils. Not sure why because i found half dozen places in stock with a quick google search. Production is moving at a enhanced pace to try and keep up with the huge demand. And before you ask, since we get to market through many...
To correct a few misconceptions. The IR 2236. Like its predecessors the 2235 and 2135 do have a few parts made in the IR plants in China and the US and it is built in N.Carolina. its right on all the products so there is no deception. the power regulation "issue" is not an issue or new. The...
It does take a few times to get it down, but as long as you keep the fat tooth lined up with the hole - it goes quite smoothly.
Not sure if this will play, but try it. Video of someone switching out the anvil at a Tool show this past weekend.
This video has it too...
I had no intention of insulting / criticizing you and if I did, I apologize. Everyone will use their tools how they see fit and realize the benefits and consequences. I appreciate your opinion and all of your feedback and the time/effort you are taking to see if this product meets your needs. As...
What's not obvious is why you are taking a 1/2" power tool (albeit the most powerful 1/2" tool) and doing a head-to-head comparison with 3/4" power tools on an application that is intended for a 1" power tool. I don't think that I made any claims that this tool has the equivalent power of a 3/4"...
I'm not entirely sure what you're trying to do in the video. Are you attempting to remove LH thread studs from a tractor trailer? If so, that is far outside the use of a 1/2" power impact wrench, and not appropriate for a 3/4" Impact. That job is why 1" Impact wrenches were created. When using a...
The 231 is a great no frills workhorse with 600 ft-lbs of torque. and if that is all you need/want. You couldn't have made a better choice. If you resisted the new 2236 because you felt it was untested? The basic configuration, engineering and design dates back to 1992 with the 2131, which was...
Thank you for your comments. We produce tools for professional mechanics, Industrial services and commercial assembly so serviceability is a primary concern on every product. When you pay for a professional quality tool, particularly an air tool...you should expect that it lasts many years. I've...
Great question. I commented earlier about this. The beauty of the tool is if you never change the attachments out ever, the tool still operates seemlessly like a standard anvil tool. Do nothing and still enjoy the many benefits and improvements over its predecessor.
There is no wiggle. Square interface wiggles, spline none. One of the benefits I demonstrated at SEMA. Using a brand new 10" extension on one tool and the 10" Anvil on the 2236. The extension wiggled up and down over 1/4 inch. The 10" anvil didn't budge, in fact rocked the tool around as if they...
Thank you. It is no bother. In fact, as I said earlier, its an extremely important part of my job. Alot has changed since I made my living turning wrenches so I rely on you to help me make a product that makes your life easier. Because at the end of the day its still just something you use to...
