Thanks for your response. I had to leave the ratchet unfinished and won't be able to continue until next weekend. Using a craftsman for now. Any other tips you can give for example to reassemble pawls into the head? Thanks

Does pushing the pins out push the direction selector out? That's the only way this is going to work. There's got to be something locking in the direction selector so that it can come out and then the pins can come out.
