Re: Time to build my shop and I am going to need some help
There were a couple of chucks that I cleaned up, a 4 jaw and a 3 jaw. The 4 jaw was put through a bit deeper cleaning than the 3 jaw. I took it fully apart and reground the outer surfaces with a tool post grinder on the lathe. Some of...
Sorry I haven't been posting much lately. Too much work and it's been a bit tough with the long drive. Many other things going on but too personal to get into on a forum. All the best guys.
I sold off some tools and picked up a drone though. Having a bit of fun with that and figured I'd get...
A bit of an update. I'm starting my new job on Monday and really looking forward to it. It's been about 11 years since doing Process Engineering in manufacturing but that's okay. I'll get back up on the nomenclature in no time I guess. Back to APQP, Kanban, Poke Yoke, etc.
I've shut my...
Much appreciate the kind words Lyndon. I wanted to reply but there was some stuff that was occupying my head. It looks like you have also gone through some ****. Mine pales in comparison but it's not really a competition is it. I read through some of your post but man, can you type. I...
Sorry, I just saw this post. It was in a machine that was made in Italy and was at the end of its life. Omron was selling them under their name for a while. Not sure if it was in Europe only.
The paddle on the top might be laid on the sample and be a specific weight. When the sample is heated, there might be a cup below it that catches a fluid. Maybe for finding a melting point or for viscosity analysis?
I think this is the closest guess. It's definitely not built that way to hold anything in since it has only a magnet to hold the door closed. Seems to be a small enclosure to heat up a sample and measure change in length.
The rectangular sample holder has a small plastic flip over clamp while...
Thanks for the comments guys. Definitely scared right now with the changes.
This is my birthday present to myself which is today. Yay! It's a borrowed scope for now until I get my own sooner than later.
It's a Ruger Precision Rifle in .243 cal. bolt action. I haven't shot it yet but...
I guess that I should be amazing by now.
I might be having to give up the place soon though. I have a job offer but it's on the other side of the city about 134 Km away which is about 83 miles. It would be a brutal commute and I'll do it for a while. I hate the thought of giving up this...
Thanks man! It's funny how life throws things at you.
Thanks for bidding. I'm definitely both; it was a nice little vise and I would have liked to put it to use but it was also a nice way to bring in some cash.
I can't believe that you saw that diamond in there. I would never have thought to use a piece like that and it would have ended up in the scrap. Awesome job!
