Thank you. I was about to pull the trigger and order a set to try on mine, but I held off waiting for you to test first.

    Black & Decker Workmate

Too late... In addition to the 79-001 Type 2 for $20, I picked up an older steel version for $10 (that I gave to my son-in-law), and a 400 Type 4 for $10. It's strange that two of the three I bought were discounted because they wouldn't fold. More precisely, the owner's didn't know how to...

    Black & Decker Workmate

I picked up this 79-001 Type 2 Workmate from a posting on Facebook Marketplace for $20 today. I've had a steel frame Workmate for 40+ years and thought this would make a nice addition to my shop.

    Shop Vac Tee 2 1/4"

Need some ideas... I need to connect two 2 1/4" shop vac hoses to one shop vac (Rigid). There doesn't appear to be any off the shelf tees in the correct size. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.

New to me Grizzly G0566 21" 3hp Bandsaw

Dust Collection Connection Since the bandsaw will move around the shop, I decided to plumb the two inlets together to make connection to the portable dust collector easier. I think this looks pretty clean.

New to me Grizzly G0566 21" 3hp Bandsaw

I had someone suggest using BOESHIELD T-9 with a topcoat of Johnson's Paste Wax. I wonder if that's overkill or the best solution?

New to me Grizzly G0566 21" 3hp Bandsaw

Cleaning the Cast Iron Table Looks like some BOESHIELD Rust Free, Scotch-Brite, and elbow grease will clean up the table. After it's clean, I have some Johnson Paste Wax I could apply or should I use BOESHIELD T-9 Rust & Corrosion Protection?

New to me Grizzly G0566 21" 3hp Bandsaw

I looked closely at that one and was very tempted. Now that I bought this one, I'll probably look for a smaller dedicated bandsaw for metal in the future. Unloading these large saws is sometimes challenging.

New to me Grizzly G0566 21" 3hp Bandsaw

Well... it was less than 1/2 of what the new version costs. :) I have spent a hundred or so on new tires, new bearings for the blade guides, and a few other parts including the spur gears for the gear boxes for the cranks that raise/lower the blade guide and tilt the table. It looks like...

New to me Grizzly G0566 21" 3hp Bandsaw

Unloading the bandsaw... My choices to get the bandsaw off the trailer boiled down to the following... #1) Invite some friends over and manhandle it off the trailer possibly injuring them and damaging the saw. Plus there's the cost of beer to get them to show up. #2) I noticed there are...

New to me Grizzly G0566 21" 3hp Bandsaw

I found this on CraigsList. It's over 10 years old but is in very good condition. This saw has never cut wood. The place that was selling it used it for cutting foam to go inside Pelican Cases till they found a place that cut it to fit cheaper. It sat in the corner of their warehouse unused for...
