proto sockets and snap on ratchets are what i use

I use them on the farm at least 3 times a week. Mine are snap-on but a friend uses sunex and he thinks they are great.

The Gedore 7UR set is very nice so far. Only been using them for a few weeks but very happy with them.

I use a speedglas 9100x most of the time but i also use a fiber-metal pipeliner for overhead and tight quarters.

Here's my advice. Get one of the HF 44" boxes http://www.harborfreight.com/tool-storage/tool-chests-roller-cabinets/44-in-13-drawer-glossy-red-industrial-roller-cabinet-69387.html Then set aside about 2k of that 5k as a emergency fund just in case. Use the rest to buy tools.
