Ripped out a 15 amp ungrounded outlet that was attached to the casing of my door to the garage. (It was on a shared cirucit with half the house, and I ran 2 20 amp dedicated circuits last year, so the outlet has no use anymore). With that removed, I had no power to the garage door opener...

Got a new garage door installed today. Went from a wood door, likely around R1 or R2 to an Amarr Olympus at R19. I didn't install it myself, but I did write the check. Hopefully it makes a big difference in my living room and bedroom this winter (both aboved the garage)

The cord reel is kind of nice, not so sure about the rest of the accessories. The one thing I want in the next garage door opener is wifi control. Its an easy way to let somebody into the house, and if the garage door is left open, you get an alert.

I agree, although you can get around it by using tandem brekers (legal in some boxes, not all). If need 10 more breakers, replace it. If you need 1 or 2 more, ask an electrician if you can install tandem breakers.

How much you need really depends on what you do, and what might be running at the same time. 99% of the time 100 amps is plenty. But if the AC is on, a load of laundry is in the dryer, you have something in the oven, and you go to use the welder, you could hit your limit and trip the breaker...

For me its a sebenza. I'm going to be honest, when I first used one, I didn't get all the fuss. Yes its extreeemely nice, but its not the smoothest knife (my benchmade 707 probably wins that) or the easiest to open, but its always the one I reach for general EDC.
