Oven cleaner. It'll strip paint, grease, most anything. Use it outside, and don't get it on any ID plates if you don't want the paint cleaned off them. Masking tape works there.
Then wash with a hose or pressure washer. Wear gloves & etc, it can hurt you but it'll strip most anything.
You did real good on that for $150, almost good enough for a you ****. I use stuff like that every day in powerplants, papermills, etc. It's industrial grade. Bottles are smaller than what we use, but a good size for a home shop. Whoever set that up knew what he was doing.
Get hoses from...
I used a box like that for years. When it got too heavy for just the top handle I got some handles from Lowes for the sides, couldn't find them on the website but they're similar to the ones on this box. You can bolt them on if you're careful to not interfere with the drawer slides. I assume you...
Outstanding idea, I think I'm gonna go with the threaded rod/nut idea, and make the dividers out of some 16ga sheet steel I have a bunch of scraps of, paint it all up, and I can make them any length/width I need. Cool ideas guys!
That would make a COOL welding table!
Now that I've shocked 'ya, what a beautiful table, and reminder of a long lost time. I wonder what the point was tho, it's kinda over the top when the simple version is just as functional, maybe just to make the workplace a more pleasant place to be?
here's mine, yeah it's filthy. Best pics i can find and i aint draggin it out to get better ones lol. It has 2 grinders on a turntable to save room. But now I have 3 more grinders I just clamp to the welding table if these won't do what I need.
Here's how I did mine:
It's just a bushing in the tank, 1/2" street elbow, short ******, then 1/2" copper outside, the door closes fine, the seal seals, it works fine.
I'm just going to echo what everyone else has said, that's a really nice bench, vise, and you did a beautiful job on it, just enough of everything. But you almost made it too nice to use!
Not to **** heads, you've probably been in the trade as long as I have, but I've ordered miles of pipe "T&C", threaded and coupled, and always got a real coupling on it. Light duty to be sure, but standard National Pipe Taper. Only had trouble when it was over or under tightened.
