If you wanted to splurge on hand tools, to an extent, what would you buy in these categorires?

I think if I could have any brand of sockets/ratchets it would be wera, any brand pliers they would be knipex. But I'd hate to limit myself to just one of each, there are some fantastic ideas from just about every company.

Anyone know what the list is for? Also what this 4cyl engine is?

    That's a 70's era Fiat 4cyl, probably from a Spider.

    The VISES of Garage Journal

Forgot to post "after" pictures of this and thought you guys might enjoy it. It's too nice to use now, unfortunately. I have it on display at the front of my shop. I bought the tiniest vise I could find to sit with it because I thought it would be funny.

    The VISES of Garage Journal

Oh, here's some pics of the two "daily driver" vises in my shop, not sure what brand they are, they have a triangle logo and say "made in brazil" but that's about it. They're at least 20 years old, and probably older than that. 6" jaws, and way smaller overall than the No.3c reed vise.

    The VISES of Garage Journal

It's got 5" jaws, but that doesn't really do it justice - it's much larger and beefier than the pair of old 6" vises that have been the workhorses of my shop since before I owned it. No evidence of welding on it anywhere. Taking it apart now, can't get the pin that holds the nut in place...

    The VISES of Garage Journal

Just picked up this thing, found pictures of someone restoring one on here, I'll probably do the same. Any way to tell how old it is? It has cast in jaws, non-replaceable, and it looks like it's hardly ever been used. Going to get started on glassbeading it and disassembling it shortly...
