With AZ minimum wage at 11/hr that puts into perspective how much it really takes to restore something of this caliber. A fair wage for your work is probably closer to $50+/hr so re-affirms how underpaid you are. I enjoy your updates...
My guess is owner filed for a lost/duplicate title as he was stalling you for time. It doesn't sound beyond them to fabricate a story and make your life hell trying to prove you're in the right.

Nice PW too. I used to work at a tractor dealership with a similar model. It was amazing how much the hot water helped with removing oil and grease from equipment...
