    Adding on to my previous post, I starting cleaning the older one (pictured above) and found some engravings on one end. Don't know what the numbers mean but I can only guess that the USAAF is for United States Army Air Forces, which was only called that from 1941-1947. After that it became USAF.

    Those vises look great! I really like the look of that finish, could you give me more details of your "recipe"? Mainly - how much of each ingredient, did you warm it for the wax to melt or some other trick, and where did you get the graphite powder? Thank you!!! TH

    I'm pretty excited about the No. 203 I picked up on Facebook Marketplace this past weekend. I was blown away to see a date code of 216 (Feb 1916) under a layer or two of gunk. I think it's in better condition than what the pics show - we'll see once it's cleaned up and "refreshed"...
