VCT tile now done. Looks great!

Great, thank you both for the heads up. I was looking at Home depot's site the other day, and was more than happy with the one that was $0.72 sq/ft. $0.80 for a better product, even if I have to buy adhesive is perfectly fine. I want it done right, but having it readily available is also a...

VCT tile now done. Looks great!

I know this is an old thread that I'm resurrecting, but I'm moving into a new home soon with a 31x22 garage that has an 8x10 bump out space. I'd like to do a vct floor with the 2'x2' squares. I saw on the big box stores sites that they sell 'peel and stick' tiles, would you still recommend...

    Secret Stash

Both of our bedroom nightstands have a secret compartment in the top that slides out to a full drawer that is 1.5" tall. Nice for putting some stuff in, but honestly, the expensive/valuable stuff gets put in the safe that's welded and bolted down in the basement.

Now this is a small garage!

    That's not a garage, that's a riding tractor shed.

My Christmas present to my father... new work space setup and Matco 7525

Nice job. Looks like he gained a good amount of usable space. I did something similar with my workbench, but mounted it against the wall with heavy duty hinges, and the used a set of heavy duty chains into a stud above as support. So now if I need more space, I can fold it down, or use the...

    Studfinder recommendation

To bring a thread back to the top, does any of these stud finders work for finding floor joists through carpeting? My builder was quite sloppy putting in the sub floor and now that the house is 8 years old, I have a lot of squeaky floors because the nails, the few that they used, are starting...

    68x48 attached garage

First off, congrats on building a badass shop/barn. If you are meeting all the codes, what is you neighbors complaint? Did you get some sort of variance to build the garage?

Owners feedback of Direct-Lift Pro Park 7 + 8. Also additional safety features.

Trust me, I understand your frustration, especially considering the cost involved. You simply want it to be right, and get what you paid for. You didn't buy a used lift, you bought a new lift and expected it to be in 100% perfect condition, and that's fair. That's weird that the runways are...

Owners feedback of Direct-Lift Pro Park 7 + 8. Also additional safety features.

I'm not trying to argue with you, and I feel bad for you, but this is exactly the reason why I decided to go in person to pick up my lift. I understand that it's not an option for everyone, but it's what I chose to do. I wish you the best of luck in getting it resolved. All I was trying to do...

Well, a couple things. It's the underside, so I personally would have just painted it myself and called it a day. I'm not that picky over cosmetic issues. Secondly, it sounds like you should have been on bashing the shipper to get this resolved. As I understand it, it's the buyers...

Well, I would have stopped assembling it when I noticed the damage, which would have happend prior to assembly. I'm a little confused why you continued to assemble the lift after you noticed the damaged runner, which is cosmetic in my oppinion, but still, damaged. I'm not sure how your lift...

Owners feedback of Direct-Lift Pro Park 7 + 8. Also additional safety features.

I have a ProPark 8s that I went to the Greg Smith Eq location in Delaware and picked up myself. Partly because I'm cheap, but also because I didn't want the hassle and issues of dealing with a freight shipper. I was going to have to pick it up one way or another, so I drove the extra mile and...

Just finished a Race Deck - Gladiator GARAGE MAKEOVER in NJ

I think part of the nature of the critical comments was because this wasn't a homeowner DIY project but rather a proffesional business posting pictures of recent work. I would venture to say that most of the members on this board are of the DIY type, hence why the critical nature of the...

    Car suggestions/Advice... who me?

Another vote for the GTO. If appearance is the only issue, they make plenty of appearance mods that can help dress up the GTO to get it noticed. A nice set of 18-19" wheels, dropped, suspension done, and it's a winner. I know guys think the mustangs have the most aftermarket support, but GM's...
