I got some stainless hinges from this company around 2007. Looks like they're still around. They were really made and very smooth. My gate was light duty recycled redwood but the make hinges for all occasions. http://www.daro-ind.com/

A Cincinnati 6" grinder I did last year.

An old lathe that I rebuilt a few years ago. It's an Artisan Bench Lathe made by Rocky Mountain Steel Products. Luckily it was complete because there are no replacement parts.

Birch is the way I am leaning. It has more character than maple and no exposed pores like oak. Plus 30+ years to develop a nice warm tone. Lee

Their build method seems very efficient. I liked the leaning on the truck bit at the end of the day (2:48). Nice work.

They have them at Grainger but only in a 5 pack. Notron 6" OD x 1/2" ID x 1/2" thick 38a 60 Grit

Here is my Buffalo 18. It is the one tool in the shop that I am completely happy with. The spindle bearings are noisy but it is rock solid and still runs straight and true. When I got it I filled the arc of shame with JB Weld and replaced the chuck with a Jacob's. Lee

After 16 months the shop was finally sealed up just before Christmas with the installation of the roll up door. The light above the big door is a 20" diameter warehouse light from American Nail Plate. I went big but when I got it up it was almost too big. There are a few painting touch-up still...
