Worked in the shop and around the house most of the long weekend. Went to Northern Tool and purchased a 3/4" Maxline Rapid Air kit with additional fittings, and their filter/regulator. While I was there I also got three of the Klutch brand 50ft retractable hose reels. Installation of the lines...
Spent some time the last couple of days to knock out the compressor enclosure using some left over wall tin. Didnt have any white for the roof, so its blue as well. It will stay open in front to let it breathe but also keep some of the weather off of it. Still need to hook it up and plumb the...
Plywood and bottom trim is complete. Moved the workbench into its "final" resting place and installed a LED work light on top.
Also moved this heavy *** shelving unit to where i am thinking its going to end up. Sucked doing it by myself, but used two floor jacks and slid it into position...
Thanks Jim. Hidden Falls Adventure park is right outside Marble Falls and I have been there numerous times. Fun place. I just got back from Gilmer, TX this past weekend for the Lone Star Toyota Jamboree. Had a blast. Headed to Hot Springs, AR the first weekend in June for the first time.
Only one more sheet to go (which i need to buy). I ran out since i used four of them to build a new shelve. I did also start to put down some trim at the bottom. Need to buy about 80ft more to finish it all out. Should be moving in this weekend.
Been chipping away at hanging the plywood over the past two evenings/nights after i get home from work. The plywood is 5/8". Almost done.
I have about 5 more sheets to put up then some trim at the bottom and corners, then done.
Just got back from a wheeling trip to find that CenterPoint set my meter and connected the power. No excuses now to not get things finished. Hope to start moving stuff out of the old and into the new by this weekend.
Re: Silverghost's Garage and Such
Nice job on the improvements. What was in the stairwell? I may have missed it, but it looked like a giant bag of blue meth from Breaking Bad. LOL.
I added some brackets to the my walls and tied them into the girts. Made a hell of a difference.
Also added about 15 more outlets throughout the shop. You can never have too many, right? Also went with a couple 2-gang outlets where my workbench will be. Added this USB combo outlet as well as...
Ah. I picked up the camper about 3 weeks ago to mount on my gooseneck for camping duties. (tired of sleeping in a tent when I go wheeling). Paid $300 for it and it needs some work, thats why its in the shop. Didnt want it to get rained on until I can fix a leak around the vent up top.
TC? I hear you on the heat, but I dont think insulation is in the budget and with the front doors facing north and with them being non-insulated, i dont think insulating the walls would be that much help and not worth the $$$. Im probably wrong though.
Electricians added my lights. They are 6-bulb, 4ft, T5 fixtures and are super bright. I have 6 in the main part and 2 under the carport. I may end up moving the 2 under the carport to the inside and putting some that are not as bright out front. I feel like bugs will be an issue with all that...
