3/8" Air Ratchets -vs- 3/8" Impact Guns

I have a Husky 3/8" butterfly and find its my 3/8" go-to air tool more often than not. I also have a 3/8" impact gun but if I have the space for that, I should have the space for my 1/2" impact gun so it doesn't see much use. Neither does my IR 3/8" air ratchet which usually inflicts more pain...

Good call on the sockets; they're called "nut grip" sockets. The 1/4" ratchet, too looks like Ko-Ken. But it still looks like a knock-off of a Proto.:) Man, I've learned quite a bit recently about Truecraft with the SEK and Ko-Ken outsourcing. Thanks for all the info.

Yes sir, all made in Japan. Most Truecraft stuff was although I have some from Thailand and the USA too.

Thanks. I remember seeing the cigar box Truecraft 2000 stuff when the Cummins Tool gypsies would come around probably ten or twelve years ago and they wanted almost retail for the stuff, but I knew it was nice stuff. When I came across the listing on eBay, there was only one pic in the listing...

Let's See Your Recent eBay Purchases!

I collect Truecraft tools and scored this lot about two years ago: I'd never seen a wobble ratchet until now. And the 3/8" driver pivots 90 degrees: The sockets have the retainer balls in the socket walls and they were in new condition: They came in these cigar box styled cases and...

Stanley 3/8 in. Dr. Professional Grade Indexible Head Ratchet

And after a quick look in the tool chest, I think these are the ratchets you're asking about: Definitely not the same. The Stanley, and the Blackhawk I linked above are definitely imports while the Proto is "assembled in the USA of global components".

Stanley 3/8 in. Dr. Professional Grade Indexible Head Ratchet

I got the Blackhawk Metric version on eBay for about $25.00 Looks like the same set to me. And if I ever need a 23mm 3/8" socket, I'm ready.

How do you guys outfit your service carts??

I finally found a use for the magnet. Swapped out my summer tires for my snows yesterday and the magnet's a great place for all the lug nuts.

How do you guys outfit your service carts??

Nice pix^^^ Another guy with the sockets in the top; might have to re-arrange mine! I put my sockets in the first drawer cause I just pulled my old Husky set right out of the plastic case they came in and the tray was a perfect fit. Hey Chris, how heavy was that trans? That's good to know...

How do you guys outfit your service carts??

That's a nice score for $75 and some fab work. I really don't have any issues with the top but its definietly not a spare workbench! And I haven't used the magnetic panel either. I'm not even sure what its capable of holding, might have to mess with it later. I'm seeing a few of you have...

How do you guys outfit your service carts??

I got it for $199.00 on sale. The stainless one was on sale at the time too but was aroung $350.00 and I just couldn't justify the extra cash. I bought it online and picked it up at the store.

How do you guys outfit your service carts??

^^^Thanks! I bought this cart over a year ago. Couldn't wait to get it out of the box only to find out its made in China! Oh well. Suprisingly, the quality's not bad and it went together w/o a hitch.
