Been really pleased with my Ryobi pole saw cordless. I picked mine up at the local swap meet for around $50 with a small battery. I use the large battery when cutting Mesquite. I have never had a problem with the chain staying tight. I like that you can run it with one extension bar or two...

Just did a 30'x62' with a single 16' wide x14' tall centered in the 30' side and love it. I did not want a 1' to 4' wide pole in the center to maneuver around.
