I think having them on is the whole battle. I just started buying a brand called Lift at the closest industrial store. It's worth it for comfortable glasses, and my opinion is that the company supplied glasses don't last nearly as long before being scratched to oblivion. For the fogging, but...
I'm with Olafur, I'll rattle away on a quality 1/2" drive socket from Wright, or an old Blackhawk, but use lesser sockets sparingly on an impact. My default is to use impact sockets for everything, but I have access to chrome when I run into clearance issues.
I'm a total newb with a plasma, so I'm not sure if I'm having a major or a minor malfunction. Either way I'm gonna need help getting my machine to cut.

I'm all sae at work my 5/16 through 3/4 are gearwrench sold through Sears with the cap stop, and my 13/16 through 1 1/4 are Blackhawk. I'd really love to upgrade to an American made set up to 3/4 and then buy individuals of the larger ones that get used. I'm thinking Armstrong for the set and...
I use them on flange bolts for 10" and larger pipe. Once in a while I'll pull apart a 6x8 or larger pump and need a 3/4 drive ratchet to take the cover off. So in short unless you are doing industrial work they are good for nothing more than ballast to keep your tool box from tipping over.
