Thanks Mike I have considered it but the install time is what kills it for me. I cant imagine tiling 1200 sq/ft. And paying someone would make it unfeasible for me. Im at a max of $3.50/sq/ft I'm comfortable paying.
That either currently exists or perhaps in the pipeline?
Ive pretty much committed to an exoxy/polyaspartic floor being done in June but my dreamfloor would be something that I could install in a day that looked like wood that was purposefully developed for a garage environment.

I used 1/8" x 1/2" wide angle aluminum and countersunk the screws as described above. I used a drill bit slightly larger than the head of the screw to create the countersunk holes. Light pressure and go slow to get the depth correct.
Update vendor no 2: Came out to my house the same day I called. Nice touch and showed some urgency in getting my business. Discussed their process with me for 30 mins going over samples, company history, and walked around my garage asking questions and looking for problem areas.

Initially the quote was for 2 coats of Rex Thane but he reduced the price and is only doing 1 coat of Rex Thane.
He told me his previous installs have not had problems and was confident the clean and etch was sufficient fwiw.
