    Show your new tool arrivals

HF haul Friday, the icon ball joint kit, the mayhew dominator, a new compression tester kit, and a pneumatic fan clutch nonsense kit, which now that I've bought, probably won't see anything in a year. There's been so much more, for example vim bcs-1800, and its polyhedral design.

Thoughts on a new socket set

I have a 12pt spline husky set at the house, handles most things. Embarrassing compared to what's at the shop. There, is my stupid collection of ratchets at work that some visiting techs are in awe of, and probably a third of what some of you have. Matco has the best ratchet. Yes AJ For house...

What's everyone's favorite and go to 3/8 ratchet and what's yout favorite tool you ow

Matco 88 long handle non-flex is first grab in 3/8". Matco is just slimmer, flex locking mechanism is the best, and the 30" 1/2" version is the first thing I grab for alignments. Favorite tool....might have to be a Makita sliding compound miter saw. I made a lot of imagination involving wood...

Wright wrenches 915 set (grip 2)

I bought mine, polished metric, really for the strength of the box end. The strength of the open end is pretty incredible. I busted an 11mm on an inner tie rod, in a way over the limit way. Wright did replace it, with a satin, that's whatever. They don't dig into my hands. Like another poster...

Autel PS100 (Power Probe Knock Off)

I have had the Autel for about two years, it's a pretty good bang for the buck. I like that it comes with a super long cord and an extension cord which makes using it on the rear end of a big truck that much easier. The tip is removable too, and it all fits nicely in a pretty compact case.

The Chief aluminum body version had a bit too much of Rolec and carbide burrs bits after a couple of years, so for a few sheckels more, I got this Chicago Pneumatic.

Extra long flex head ratchet box wrenches

86126 plus the 72 tooth 21,22, and 24mm, are some of my most used wrenches.

    3/4 Ratchet Set - Uses?

I work on all makes and models. Once again I will hype the best 3/4" ratchet you could ever own, not break the bank, and know that whatever is in front of you will break before this does...

My 3/8" Precision Instruments split-beam torque wrench is non-reversible.

What tools have you recently gotten past TSA in your carry on baggage?

Those useless fucks took a flex head long handled Snap-on ratchet off me in the early '00s at Dulles(IAD) when I was flying with just a carry on medium sized no frame ALICE pack to LA to work on my brother's truck. Haven't thought about it in a while. Makes me mad. They are still just as fat and...

    Air Hammer

Or buy used. I picked up the snappy for a steal from a pawn shop that had an online listing, I believe it was $250. It's going strong to this day, and was well worth the hour drive.

    Matco FTP500, who makes it?

I'm in the market for a new and comprehensive fuel pressure test kit. I already have some experience with the Matco kit, and am curious as to who the manufacturer is to try and save some sheckles, $700 is pretty steep. I know there's an Icon clone, with some reviews about it being leaky. Thanks...
