I have two of the 120" Home Depot fans in my 40x48 building. The fans are HVLS fans and rotate slowly even on high. They move air but you will not feel a down draft like a traditional ceiling fan. The light on the bottom is fairly dim and would not be sufficient to light a shop of your size...
In reference to #3 you also have these posts as an option.
Green Post
Green Post Interview
Also, these screws might be worth looking at.
ZXL Screws
I used both on my building and I have no complaints.
In reference to # 1 there are also these Skirt Board Protector. I did not use them but...
Yes, the building was built with Green Post. I am happy with them but only time will tell. This is an interview from youtube of the owner explaining what goes into a green post (not my build).
It seems fine has not had much more than water on it and it still beads up like in the pictures...Very easy to apply just apply to the point of rejection. I ended up putting two coats on the interior. It works better with machine troweled than hand trowled concrete. I had to put three coats...
Another option which is only slightly more expensive than laminated is to look into Green Posts the posts are laminated and treated to .60cca, the buried portion (I believe 1st 6 feet of post) is then coated with bitumen (tar) and then the post is wrapped in a very heavy liner (which is heat...
It went on easy, low odor but i did have all my doors and windows open. It only took about couple of hours to complete 2000 sq ft. Water resistance seems good, don't know about oil yet. I did have some leftover and put on a second coat. You can see the before and after...I think it was even...
If going with a clear sealer I would use either PS100 by Concrete Sealers USA or Ghost Shield 8510. I personally decided on PS100 and I am very happy with it so far.
I just completed a pole building, I used house wrap on the walls and reflective double bubble on the roof ( which was used more for a condensation barrier). I intend to insulate in the future and I was concerned that if I used Reflective barrier insulation on the walls I would create a...
I do not have any experience with this sealer, however I am also interested in this sealer for a slab I had poured 30 days ago. If you have not already you may want to check out this article:

Some things to keep in mind is that...
Thanks for all the helpful responses.... A lot of research has went into this building to get it the way I wanted it. I have been planning for a couple of years and have read this forum extensively since joining over four years ago. Through all the research and in attempt to account for...
Thanks, I did not have much to compare it to except my attached garage which seemed to be more refined. I don't think it would be worth messing around with it. It is only in a couple of small areas and it is going to be a workspace not a museum. Just wanted to see if those with more...
I had concrete poured on Monday for my pole barn. I've attached some pictures. Some of the lighter areas I photographed are slightly lower and rougher is this normal.
I have house wrap on the building, so I think I am in good shape as far as keeping the pressure treated lumber away from the metal.
There are also these Skirt Board protector but I am not completely sold. I can potentially see these causing problems if water were to infiltrate...
