Sorry I can't help with a contractor for NJ, but if you can do any of the work yourself you might want to look at this system or have a contractor look at the time and money he would save by not using trusses.

You might want to check out Socket Systems. They make a metal coupling system that is very easy to install. I understand it builds for about $10.sq ft. Good Luck
