    Oriel optical table for garage

Thank you all for the insight. I seen one on Fb but an hours drive away so wanted to get some info before making the drive. There isn’t a lot of info online for this particular table for the company name changed a number of years ago. I hadn’t heard of an optical table before yesterday but it...

WTB - Parker under bench nut and wrench

Hi, I am looking to complete a small Parker #2000 vise and it is missing the under bench nut and wrench. The wrench is small, about 5” long. I am including a picture and would be happy to purchase any of the three pieces circled in red. Thank you in advance.

    Vise Info Thread

Thank you CRSINMICH. The patents are helpful. I am digging in further to see if I can find out more about the 1-3/4 back nut but not finding much. After looking at the patents it looks like ACCO vises and Fulton had some connection and the ACCO vises look to have a similar nut on the back of...

    The VISES of Garage Journal

I was very fortunate to pickup this Parker 978 this year. The 978 was at the top of my want list (along with a Pittsburg, baby NuType 🤪, ect…) so I was over the moon and grateful to be able to own one. The first pic shows the vise as purchased and the second cleaned up and protected with...

    The VISES of Garage Journal

What would make you think that? I have 100% feedback and have sold multiple $1000+ single tool items. Hopefully you don’t litter all of the GJ forums with baseless nonsense. Surely you have better things to do with your time.

Could a machinist copy this wrench to create a match

Thank you all for the good thoughts and ideas. I ended up getting a reasonable quote for duplicating the wrench in brass from Cattail foundry and decided to go that route. I will post a pic when I get it back. Happy Holidays to all.
