    Beads in your tire

Here is one calculator: https://www.counteractbalancing.com/application-calculator/. They also claim to use 1oz of beads for 13oz of tyre as general rule.

    Tools from the old world

Okay, yesterday I used the ratchet and realized it was slipping. Tought it would be time to pull it apart and see what it looks like. It seems the ratchet has been assembled poorly and moisture has gotten into it. The drive gear has been loose and was causing the slipping and wobling. Managed to...

    Tools from the old world

I have 1/4 version of the Bahco ratchet and I'm not that impressed. I haven't had time to tear down the ratchet but it feels like there's some lateral play in gears, most when you apply some torque through the ratchet. Though I must say I've had my doubts that the set is not genuine. It's...

Knipex pliers wrench which is more versatile

I have couple pairs of 10s and one pair of 12s. I would choose 12 over 10 any day, dont feel that the head is a lot bogger than on 10s. Just a bit more leverage. I use them for everything from rounded bolts to hoseclamps and breaking parts loose.

    scissor lift for tire/brake work

Would you mind sharing more pics and material info of those extra bars used to lift from the frame. I've used a lot of similiar two scissor lift and lifted My hj60 cruiser from the rockers (fingers crossed).

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

Hi guys! I'm wondering if the 2663-20 is still a solid tool for impact use these days? I've been looking one for lugs and pull-a-part kind of use. Can't really justify fuel prices (some 570 dollars shipped and taxed and 600-650 locally) and dewalt and makita prices have gone up to that level...

    What? No USSR Tools?

I'd say that's R, casting or picture is a bit unclear.

Boxo tool boxes and tool kits

Been sold for years here. Marketing is aimed for pros and more serious hobbyists. Quality-vice a little better than usual big box store tools, but the price is also higher. Definetly nothing to compare with "real" tool makers such as Gedore, Facom etc. That said, collection seems to be a bit...

    Tools from the old world

Facom S151B. Haven't seen much pictures from these new style Facoms so thought I'll post a few. Sorry for bad lighting. I wasn't really expecting that kind of finish, the texture on it is quite rough. Handle has "ITALY" stamped on it. Here it is compared to my old J161R 3/8 ratchet...

Tools for Toyota Harmonic Balancer Bolt

VW's old 5-cyl ael diesel engines have crank bolt tightened up to 460nm. My MG725 with 1/2" hose can't do anything to that. I would advise using 3/4" stuff. I've managed with 1/2" braker bar and soma 8ft of pipe, but the flex on the 1/2" breaker bar can be problematic if there's a little to no...

A little tool haul from big box stores: This ratchet seems similar to hf one. Though I give the swivel head a go...

    Wellcome to Siberia

I mostly use Teboil oil, but have used some neste lxe on my hj60 cruiser. Teboil is cheap, decent and available in even grocerystores. Neste oil can be purchased from all Neste service stations, but to find it cheap you'll have to go to a bigger supplier.

    Wellcome to Siberia

They were used for movement, but there were not that many of those 451's & 469's left. Some medic and radio cars if I remember right. But there were a lots of ZILs and KRAZs in use still! Oh the joy of hand cranking a ZIL 131 in the winter! :D But this was a decade ago, soon after that they...

    Shopping at Harbor Freight

Re: Shopping at Harbour Freight Your local Bahco dealer might be a good place to look, here they are selling USA made sockets (SO connections?) for about 70€ a normal metric set 1/2". They seem to have standard also listed on website. They look quite nice. For that price range you can also...
