    Blank Canvas - Garage Organization.

That's pretty magnificent. You need a glass garage door for that view! Bunker with a view... :D You really need to start with doing a few layout drawings. Will the workbench be against the back wall or along the wider right side of the garage? Car and workshop area at the back with the man cave...

    Adding additional tank to compressor?

No, started doing Wasteland Weekend stuff and completely filled up the garage with stuff. Need a couple of weeks just to get it cleared out a little.

Its a post war Mosin Nagant 91/30 rifle ammo pouch. A pair of them come with pretty much every Mosin Nagant sold in the US, so the value is a couple of bucks... T

    The Tiny Tools Thread

That is a jeweler's saw. For anyone planning on using one without breaking lots of blades, the blades need to be pre-tensioned. Clamp blade in one end, put the handle in your belly and the other end of the saw against the bench (blade up). Push against the bench with your body and tighten the...

Any one use pegboard instead of tool boxes?

I like having commonly used tools immediately available and find pegboard too fiddly so I built a couple of tool cribs on top of work benches using 2x6s from our torn down deck. Used lots of HF magnetic tool holders, HF screw in hooks, screws and nails to hang tools. Woodworking tools...

    Relube condenser fan motor bearings?

Thank you Gentlemen. Does not seem to be any side to side play, so I think I caught it soon enough to prevent bearing damage, but will take a look. Will do the bi-yearly relube and look at removing the plastic plug. Any interesting ideas for repurposing the 1100 RPM motor? Tim

Best tool you've ever found in the street

Its all rust. Blood does very nasty things to steel... Probably fell off some gardener's truck. Was not there last Thursday on my last walk. Made in Columbia is interesting as I doubt we import much from there. Did it walk all the way here? Brought in with a drug shipment? I think it might make...

Best tool you've ever found in the street

Today's find; a short machete like tool with a 12" blade. Bush knife? Marked "Made in Columbia"... <a href="http://s16.photobucket.com/user/timdps/media/Garage/DSCN7045_zps23nocamw.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b44/timdps/Garage/DSCN7045_zps23nocamw.jpg"...

    Relube condenser fan motor bearings?

Condenser fan started squealing, so I assumed it was a bearing problem and dumped some oil down the shaft after pulling the motor. Reinstalled it and it was running with no squeal. Ordered a new motor and installed it when it arrived. Am hoping that the old motor can be relubed correctly to...
