Anti skid for ArmorPoxy top coat

Spoke with a rep this morning. Looks like this is a 3 part topcoat and the antiskid is already mixed in. Thanks!

Anti skid for ArmorPoxy top coat

I am waiting to figure that out before topcoating. Slab is 5 years old with no major stains, etc. Floor was prepped with an acid etch and rinsed well. Gave that 48 hours to dry. Then I used amorpoxy no prep primer. Gave that about 20-25 minutes to get tacky before applying the epoxy. The...

Anti skid for ArmorPoxy top coat

Now I’m having issues with the epoxy coat. Looked good and little fisheyes starting appearing. Rolled over it again and it was good for 30-45 min. Came back out and now there are some large spots appearing. Clear bubbles. I don’t really care about the look, just worried they won’t cure or...

Anti skid for ArmorPoxy top coat

This rustoleum one is also a fine powder. Instructions for amorpoxy say use half rate of ultrawear in the military grade topcoat. Might try a test patch with 1/2 bag per gallon and see what it feels like.

Anti skid for ArmorPoxy top coat

In the middle of my 2 part epoxy install. Using the 2 part topcoat. Realized that the anti-skid was not included in the package. Can I just grab a bag or 2 of the rustoleum antiskid and mix it in? Any idea on ratio? Is there a better place to get a different anti skid material?

Another WIFI to the shop question

You can get cables in pre made lengths, but it might be cheaper to buy a roll online, some RJ45 ends and a crimper. It's pretty simple to do. Plus if you mess up the end pulling it through, you will need the tools anyway. You could get cat6 for a few bucks more. If you want to skip all the...

Metal building open cell off gassing

I know the prep shouldn't be my concern. But I figure if there is anything I can do that is cheap and easy to make sure this goes perfect, I'll do it. They used a variety of scrapers, some were thin and wide like a big drywall knife, some like a concrete scraper, and apparently one must have...

Metal building open cell off gassing

I REALLY appreciate that. Yes, I absolutely agree this could have been avoided if the guy spraying took the time to stop and fix stuff. The other contractor who came in said that portions did look like the B side of the mix was high. I actually haven't even seen that video about the house...

Metal building open cell off gassing

Thanks Toyomech. Yeah, this is why I used a large company to begin with - the worst case scenario. I think this is actually worse than I imagined could happen, ha. You see any issue pressure washing the rest of the foam off? I said they should shop vac the water up

Metal building open cell off gassing

We are 3 days into the tear out. Unfortunately, holes were poked in the metal roof in multiple places so now those panels will need replacing. I will also need to replace some wood framing that had the closed cell surrounding it. This has turned out to be quite a mess. The foam is 80% torn...

Trying to get a T&G pine look for the interior walls

I bought about 250 T&G pine boards a few months ago. 1x8x16 and they ran about $15 each. The first set was interfor brand which I thought was good stuff. One side had a 45 bevel and the other side was just a 90* tongue. Nickel gap was created by the beveled side. I was short on boards...

    Garage Door Insulation

I was looking at the polyiso foam board in 3/4" thickness. I would space it off the steel to create an airgap and hopefully the foam won't cause enough weight change to require new springs, maybe just an adjustment. DIY Rookie - the polyiso board (brand in R-max at homedepot) has a radiant...

    Garage Door Insulation

I have been looking for a budget friendly system. I have 4 large doors that need insulation. Using a kit gets expensive quickly. Amazon and big box stores pretty much carry all the top 5 kits. Most use styrofoam. Plus most won't work for the larger commercial style doors. You can DIY with...

Metal building open cell off gassing

Yes, they are licensed and a large enough company that this should not be any sort of major financial issue for them. Right now I am confident the contractor will do everything they can to make it right. I'm just not sure that will be what I was expecting by the end.

Metal building open cell off gassing

Yeah, I am definitely going to request different guys to spray and their newest spray equipment. You are right, chances of another failure would be low. As I type this, I am thinking about all the stuff they will most likely ruin as they pull out the old foam. Even just the extra pieces of...
