    Maxjax Installs: Post Here

I've had mine installed about 3 years now, I have not found a need to have any additional heights than the two it comes with. Tom C.

    MaxJax owners...

Pretty simple, unbolt the pump and splitter valve from the cart, measure the distance between the four holes you just took the bolts out of. Mark the hole locations on the wide side of the column, drill holes to match, bolt motor and valve to new location. I think I even re-used the same bolts.

    Need Recommendations on Deck pPaint

I have a 10 year old pressure treated deck, I used this stuff this year over it: http://www.homedepot.com/p/BEHR-Premium-DeckOver-1-gal-Wood-and-Concrete-Coating-500001/206031374 It looks good now, and seals the wood surface enough that you feel safe walking on it barefoot. The reviews on the...

Drill the holes plumb. Don't get in huge tizzy about being perfect, the slope on your floor isn't crazy wild. I found that just having the help of someone else to spot the drill while I was drilling the hole maws plenty of precision. Also, use a longer drill bit, makes it easy for your helper...

Finally finished my install yesterday, here's some notes...sorry no pics, if I can figure best way to add I will. - 1960's New England tract house, 2 car garage - well 2 cars if you don't mind your wife dinging your door every time she gets out. Better as a one car with working space. 16'x 7'...

    Lets see your workbench

My Dad was a facilities manager at a big hospital in Boston. Every time they renovated an area, another workbench or two was born in one of our garages. Solid core 36" wide doors are the best!

Nothing to add here yet but thanks, I mostly lurk on GJ but really appreciate the ideas and advice that's found here. Finally getting around to upgrading my barely 2 car attached garage/workshop, now that the rest of the house is done. Replacing the too-thin concrete floor, and just ordered a...

Versatube. Bought a car and cant afford a garge to keep it in

OP Try this place. http://www.reedsferry.com/ Based in Hudson NH, but they cover Boston. Prefab "shed" with Garage door. They finance, deliver and install in one day. I have a shed from there, it's very high quality.

    Need a good crapper

I have toto toilets in both bathrooms. Very happy with them, if it's # 1 a quick flip flushes just enough to clear the bowl; #2, hold the lever a little longer to give it a full flush. Haven't needed the closet snake since I've put these in.

Anyone made something cool out of SNAP ON TOOLBOXES?

I've been trying to sell my wife on that, no sale so far. Got a picture or 2 "in use" that might help me? Thanks Tom

    I need to build a workbench...outside

5 years isn't long at all. Pressure treated 2 bys should hold up fine. A 2ft x 4ft top can be 2 layers of 3/4 AC plywood screwed to the bench frame. If you can cover it with a small sheet of plastic or tarp when not in use, should last a couple years, then just replace the plywood.

    AussieDan's simple storage cabinets

Great job on the cabinets! But one dirty hand print and you'll regret not spending the 30 minutes to throw a coat of poly on them right now...

    2 car garage heating opinions???

I've got this same heater in my 2 car also. As for the fan, here's the solution I used: $15 box fan on chains about 12" from ceiling, cord runs across and down to a handy box with a standard light dimmer switch. Fan switch is on "high", dimmer allows me to adjust breeze as needed. Works...
