Bendpak HD-9 (older model) wiring question

Just to complete the information loop on this one, looks like the conduit to my 220 outlet is a 20amp breaker with 12 ga wire (bottom right breaker). Looks like I will be having an electrician wire up an entirely new circuit.

Bendpak HD-9 (older model) wiring question

First: thanks for all the responses and thanks for taking pity on my lack of electrical knowledge. Second: This next question is not because I am not listening or heeding everyone’s advice. I am, and plan to do this correctly as per yalls suggestions—but electricians in my area are booked out...

    Gotcha. That makes more sense.

Bendpak HD-9 (older model) wiring question

Wyliediesels, sadly I have no clue what type of wire is in the conduit (luckily, there are not interior walls in this barn). The breaker for this circuit, however, appears to be a 100 amp tandem breaker.

Wssix99, The instructions are strangely silent on wiring requirements.

Bendpak HD-9 (older model) wiring question

RancherBill, you are correct that the receptacle is closer to the ground. I agree that, eventually, I will want a permanent receptacle above the lift. However, the lift came with a caster kit and the shop/barn it is in is around 6000 sq. ft. of open area that I share with my Dad and brother...

Bendpak HD-9 (older model) wiring question

Thanks for the response. I appreciate the help. I assume the original owner of the lift wanted to make it work with an existing outlet (which I would also like to do for simplicity's sake). not sure if this changes anything, but this is a 10 year old HD-9, so the specs might be different that...

Bendpak HD-9 (older model) wiring question

I recently purchased a used Bendpak HD-9 for my shop. The shop currently has a 220, 20amp, 3 prong locking receptacle for an air compressor that I no longer use. The lift has a 4 prong pigtail already installed. Amazon offers an adaptor that allows me to plug the current pigtail into my...

    Arkansas two-car

Thanks. The sink and countertop are originally from the kitchen. We remodeled the kitchen and I thought it was a good repurposing. I’ve been pretty impressed with the solid surface counter material as a work surface.

    Arkansas two-car

Hi all. I’ve been a long-time lurker on this forum. First, let me say “thank you” for everything I have learned on here. This place is a great resource. We bought this house almost a year ago and I have slowly been applying lessons I learned on this forum to the garage. I started with a...

    Need compressor/regulator advice

I don't disagree with you--but that is exactly what he wants. It is not the solution I would want for myself. However, it is what he wanted and this friend often turns to me to help him find out-of-the box solutions. I attempted to research what he asked about and came up empty handed. I...

    Need compressor/regulator advice

Guys, I sincerely appreciate the responses. However, I think this has gotten sidetracked. A compressor is easy. I know how to purchase and install a compressor. My main concern is the regulator/chuck apparatus necessary to meet the end-goal. Here is the key part of the original post: I...

    Need compressor/regulator advice

That wouldn't be an issue for this application. This is a huge garage with a bike collection that may be six figures.

    Need compressor/regulator advice

The compressor can be as big as it needs to be. The whole point of this exercise is to get away from a manual pump completely. I am just curious if a solution exists. Not worried about cost or complexity at this point. Just interested in knowing if this can be done.

    Need compressor/regulator advice

I have a friend who is getting serious about cycling. He dislikes pumping bike tires by hand before every risde. He wants a compressor in his garage (that part is easy) with a digital regulator on (or near) his chuck that will allow him to quickly select his desired pressure, hit the tire, and...
