    The DeWalt Addiction Thread

Tiny tool purchase, but I’m excited that dewalt makes one of these. I’ve seen similar options from other brands, but many of them were missing sizes I use regularly. Interchangeable nut driver bits. The magnet stays with the shank, and not the socket for ease of cleaning.

    Show your new tool arrivals

Got me a Trusty-Cook Model 4 It came in with only 6 feet left in my stupid long landscaping project, but I’m glad to have it.

    Best overall floor jack?

Not sure if they are available for purchase in Canada, but I’ve been using this ACDelco 3.5 ton floor jack for 17 years now with no issue Weekend warrior type stuff, not professionally. Although, these are the jacks that most of the professional shops around my area use. I recently purchased a...

    Garden Hose Recommendation

Whatever hose you get make sure it has brass ends, not aluminum. While the aluminum ended hoses are cheeper, if left on the faucet, the aluminum fitting on the hose will seize to the brass hose bib (dissimilar metals) and after a few months your only option for removing the hose will be to cut...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

What did you do "IN" your garage today? Two new batteries, and a new terminal, and the Jeep is alive and well again! Happy day!

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Re: What did you do "IN" your garage today? Yeah, figured it would look prettier if I had cleaned them up, but was just trying to get a feel for it between out-of-water calls at work on Saturday since I had the shop to myself. Didn’t want to spend all my time grinding when I had...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

What did you do "IN" your garage today? Started learning how to weld the other day. Starting out with a MIG machine, but plan on trying my hand at stick once I get a little better at it.

Garage shop - the journey or the destination?

I did get lucky enough that I have two garages. Both old style wood frame that are massive projects in themselves. The two car garage on the other end of the yard is my mechanic-ing garage where my Jeep lives, along with all my automotive tools, our bicycles, and a kayak trailer loaded down...

Garage shop - the journey or the destination?

Yeah, I set my saw horses up that way occasionally when I have enough space, or the weather is nice enough to move the operation outside, but we still have too much **** in the garage to set it up like that in there, and when I do get it set up it gets taken over with circle saw and jig saw...

Garage shop - the journey or the destination?

I get frustrated a lot working on projects when I haven’t had a chance to build my work bench yet. Running my miter saw on the floor of the garage really stinks, but there are a lot of other projects that take priority over having a nice work bench. My wife has been very understanding with my...

    The DeWalt Addiction Thread

I have that set. Have had to replace a few over the years as they have worn out. Have been pretty impressed with dewalt’s saw blades thus far. Still on the fence with their drill bits. Haven’t found anyone that makes a good set of drill bits yet. Always open to suggestions.

I might have to look into one of those.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Finally finished organizing one side of one of my garages. I plan on building some more shelves after I finish sheeting in this one wall, but my project list is stupid long, and we are getting ready to have our second bathroom remodeled, and need space to store materials. The garage is a long...
