    Hybrid water heater

Consider raising the temperature of the water to 130 or 140, and adding a mixing valve to temper the hot water output to the fixtures. You will actually use less hot water per shower, but since it is hotter, it will last longer.

You don't know what you don't know, pre-planning detached 40x28

Check out the Mitsubishi H2i mini split heat pumps. They are made for cold climate applications. I installed one on my 28x32 1-1/2 story workshop 5 years ago and it works extremely well.

Vintage Unisaw Extension Table & Fence

Good job, Ryan! I acquired a 1943 Unisaw a few years ago, complete with the wartime paper serial number plate. It still had the goose egg motor cover, and the cabinet floor was solid. I added a shark guard, and a Vega pro fence. I also added dust collection by fabricating a chute inside...

Month to month savings on mini split?

This may help you. https://www.yourmoneypage.com/energy/airconditioner1.php I'm getting ready to install 2 Mitsubishi H2i units in my new workshop. I think both mitsu and fujitsu have wall mounted thermostats to avoid the lost remotes.

Running service to subpanel in adjacent building

Thanks for the replies, everyone. As far as load goes ,we will be heating and cooling 1300 sq ft, with woodworking machines downstairs and music amps upstairs, so I think 100 amps is wise.

Running service to subpanel in adjacent building

Hello, I plan to run a 100 amp service to my new woodshop building. I will come out of a 200 amp panel in my existing 24x36 garage, run the 36 foot length of that building and on another 3 feet to the wall of the new building. Once at that new building, I need to go about 14 feet to the...

    Modified Behm 1476 build

Hi, Everyone, I have lurked here for about a year, gathering info for a woodworking shop build. My current space has a floor that slopes sharply to the center making machine set up next to impossible. I selected the Behm design 1476 as my starting point. It is 28x32, and attic trusses give...
