Crushed run over 57 stone for shop floor?

Sooooo, I think I have a new plan. I have 25 6x9" 6' posts that were for guard rails, and my neighbor just let me have 85 sqft of brick pavers he pulled up, so I'll be doing some combination of the two to make up the area.

Crushed run over 57 stone for shop floor?

Well there is an idea. So is the math 6 50lb bags per yard?

Crushed run over 57 stone for shop floor?

Alright, stone is out. Check. Paying for concrete to show up and be pumped is now out - just called a few different places. Everyone is over $500 for the mix, and all the pump guys want over $500 just to show up. It's not worth a $1000 to me. I'll keep the ply in mind. Might pursue some other...

Crushed run over 57 stone for shop floor?

Not the family shop, as in, we own the building, but the interest and expense is solely on me. And I was under the the assumption that crush run, which my local place calls ABC, was fine enough that you could pack it hard and smooth. But based on y'all's responses that does not seem to be the case.

Crushed run over 57 stone for shop floor?

Ok, so I'm hearing it's a bad idea. Ha. I was trying to avoid concrete because of the expense. My shop is not the family shop, therefore the money comes from my play money, not from the family budget. And if it takes $500+ in concrete, that's a substantial dent in my entertainment stash. Hence...

Crushed run over 57 stone for shop floor?

I have a dirt "hallway" in my shop that separates the two concrete portions of my shop(s). About 20x6'. I need to bring that section up about 6" and I want it to be a hard(ish) surface that I can roll pallet jacks and dollies and wheeled carts over. I have a pile of #57 stone and a jumping jack...

    Insulation/venting on old lean-to shop

I'm converting an old lean-to building into a shop. It's 20x60 metal siding. The roof is new. Metal, over a membrane, over OSB, over the original purlins. The floor is concrete with radiant heat (new). As I've built interior walls (stud with 3/4 ply sheathing) I've put 1" foil sided foam...

    Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT 1950s Craftsman Garage retro remodel

Keep your pennies near by, RL - I'll be shooting you some links to the bench and vise over the next couple of months ;) So glad this deal worked out. Couldn't be in better hands.

Also, great job cleaning the medical cabinet in between the test hang and finish.

RL, I love it. Looks great. I really like the asymmetry of the tape measure holder. I just recently built one of these too. One thing I've seen others do, which I incoperated into mine was a power cut off timer - in case you forget to yank your batteries off the charger when it's done. This is...

    The Hodgepodge Garage

Jeremy, nice table! Though this appears to mean the sweet Craftsman tool chest conversion is no more? Also is there any concern to having your bottle at an angle? I know having them horizontal is a no no, but I'm not sure where the tipping point is (see what I did there?) Edit: just realizing...

    Killingers Small Shop.

Great set up. You'll need to come up with your own dewey decibel system for all those cabinet drawers.

Noob to big boy compressors... seeking help

Got it. Thanks, that's really helpful. I can be thick headed about stuff some times. My reluctance with replacing the pressure switch is that it's hard to believe they are of any quality for around $20. Ha. I have minimal faith in modern manufacturing. But I think you're right, I'll hook up one...

Noob to big boy compressors... seeking help

Okay. After some research I found Type K Soft Copper sold by the foot from Plumbing supply. With that and a couple of fittings I ordered from them I'll have my discharge pipe made up for about $20 (It added up to $60 from the local big box with hard copper and fittings). I'll work on setting...

Thanks Icedoc, this would require a full replacement of the pressure switch correct, like the example that Brendan gave above? There isn't an option to add an unloader to the PS?
