I want to mount a doorbell camera but my existing doorbell is attached to a side wall with a horizontal wall plate (see pic)

I was thinking of a 3D printed solution with the angling addressed as well - would have to be sturdy for people who feel the need to press real hard on the doorbell.

I want to mount a doorbell camera but my existing doorbell is attached to a side wall with a horizontal wall plate (see pic)

I want a wired doorbell camera so I need to find a solution that I can somehow modify to fit this doorbell that has a horizontal plate over the junction box - I tried searching but can't find anything that fits my problem. Also - the doorbell is on the side of the house so I am going to need to...

I need help with identifying electrical floor box parts

I am replacing ceramic tile with vinyl planks and finally having to address broken floor boxes. one of the boxes is PVC and the other metal. I assume I need some type of ring that friction fits or gets glued onto the top. The one pic with the yellow outlet - that ring is just floating in the...

    What product for small cracks

I have tried off the shelf concrete patch and repair products - they seem to be too thick. I tried self leveler underlayment powder and wet it with water and that seemed to work but crack still visible. You will see in the images that after the product I used had settled the crack...

Mr. Cool Advantage - is this damage bad (see pic)

I forgot to say HD accepted and processed my return - very good customer service other than handling of a product that was shipped to their store.

Mr. Cool Advantage - is this damage bad (see pic)

Thanks for all replies - Just FYI I ordered through HD and they offer free delivery if you pick up there. I think next time I will order for home delivery - the person who did the curbside when picked up said it took awhile because the box was towards the bottom of a pallet. I am assuming the...

Mr. Cool Advantage - is this damage bad (see pic)

Thanks - I am going to return it - I have no idea about that sensor - I can't find pics of what that piece is supposed to look like - they only show pics of the front of their unit for marketing. I am going to search for a diagram as well.

Mr. Cool Advantage - is this damage bad (see pic)

Ordered this from Home Depot and the part in question is this little clear tube with a wires in the middle - the instructions say nothing about it but it looks like it got smashed against the thin metal fins of the condenser unit - please ID what this piece is and it looks like the plastic is...

Replacing single pole switch to smart switch - getting lost with the wiring

I solved it - the extra wire connects to the hot terminal. I found the neutral which was buried in the back and capped off with other neutral wires. After mistaking which neutral I needed I connected the correct neutral to the adjoining smart sensor and then used the neutral pigtail for that to...

Replacing single pole switch to smart switch - getting lost with the wiring

Thanks - I think that smart sensor has to have a neutral so I need to unscrew that and look at that next. If that wire was a ground I wonder why it is not just attached to the ground screw - I read the specs of a similar switch and it did not mention ability to use quick connection for grounding.

Replacing single pole switch to smart switch - getting lost with the wiring

I thought it was a single pole because it is the only switch to control that light. They say that there is another screw on the other side (beside the top ground screw) if it was a three way. The light switch is difficult because nothing is marked. I just notice that the hot wires go towards...

Replacing single pole switch to smart switch - getting lost with the wiring

Here is a picture of the switch I removed. This is a Leviton single pole 15A switch that has 3RJW stamped on the side. The two hots are wired together I believe so that the one wire also gives the sensor switch next to it power. The load wire is on the bottom. I see no ground wire and I am...

AC disconnect box connectors and related questions

Thanks Wylie and Bert - I understand what Bert is suggesting but I do not think there is enough wire to extend it into the disconnect that way. I am not sure which parts to get.
