    I wasn't brand loyal, would pick up older USA made tools at flea markets at fair prices and put them to work. As far as collecting.....I have close to 100 axes...

    A magneto is more reliable than a battery ignition system. Points are still necessary to trigger the coil. And Points require a condenser. Of course modern power equipment like chain saws use electronic ignition, but still use a magneto.

    I do a lot of business at my local NAPA. They don't stock much Craftsman, and refuse to honor the warrantee. BUT, they are great about replacing NAPA tools under warrantee. Just about every town has a NAPA store, so..............you decide.

    If you're looking for 100% alcohol, you should be able to get methanol race fuel. California is a hotbed of speedway motorcycle racing. Do an internet search. Can get at track, or nearby race fuel seller. Karts use it too.

    During the summer months, a good bet is antique engine shows. There is one in Dublin NH and Orange Mass at the airport. You will find different sorts of tools. Woodworking, machinist, blacksmith, auto, etc. Some vendors specialize in tools and get higher prices. Others sell all kinds of junk and...

    Best lubricant for a ratchet with given tooth count and drive size?

    Air tool oil is good enough lube for an air ratchet, right?.... I sometimes use Superlube air tool oil in unsealed ratchets (Fine tooth) cuz I have it at work, and it's easy to apply a few drops.
