I didn't really think a straight edge would help that much because even the slanted straight edge would be straight but it did give a good visual to line it up with the miter...

Thank you, rolling base needed clean up like the whole thing but looks great now it's old and rolls well. Good thing too cause this thing weighs a damn ton. Loving the fence, that alone seemed to be worth the 300 bucks

Not sure how to check the bearings, but the pulleys don't wiggle when tight. Are the sheaves what I keep calling pulleys? Belt goes into them? Also not sure how to tell if they are steel or not. I really know very little about saws and their parts I guess lol
