I got an e-z red one. works good but as you said it falls in the category of a rebranded Chinese one. Overall it works good and seems well made! I've used a lot of refractometers at work for testing brix % and I also have one for testing salt water salinity for my aquariums at home. I feel the...
I never had to oil any other than the old snap on designed ones. Which is odd considering the bluepoints have a very similar ratcheting head, and I've never had a problem with them sticking.
They are very expensive, but I don't see an equivalent or equal on the market right now! The difference with these wrenches often times meaning able to use ratcheting vs not able to fit other ratcheting wrenches.
Anyone try these yet? I got a set about a month ago and have been holding judgement upon more use. They are the smoothest ratcheting wrench I've ever felt! They also have the claim as the thinnest and smallest head on the market as well. I've always had the snap on ratcheting wrenches and wasn't...
I've seen new toolbox tops utilizing the bed liner coated tops. I've been considering coating my workbench tops which are currently particle board. Does anyone have any experience doing this? I'm a good painter so I'm confident I can do this and make them look good, but I'm questioning the...
star is imo the best for the money. They used to make comp. testers and leak down testers for all the tool trucks aside from snapon. I have both that are re-badged matco and they are fantastic! Snapon makes some of the best ones but, their overpriced compared to all the other professional grade...
I have a steel set made by Blackhawk automotive. They were made probably in the 60s or 70s and weigh about 80 lbs and a piece and very wide (about 2ft). They are the best ones Ive ever seen or used but a real pain to move around! If i had to buy new ones, mobility would be my biggest concern.
I don't care for the cornwell 72s! They have a very tight mechanism that has way too much tension! It makes it extremely hard to back out a loose bolt after the bolt has been broken loose. My dream ratchet is a cornwell handle, snap on dual 80 head with the matco locking flex mechanism.

I think that the fact that these SKs are not reversible and not offset would be a deal killer for me. Not having that angled head decreases their usefulness a great deal (and yes, I understand that angling the heads decreases the strength). I have a set of line wrenches with straight...
