I started tearing stuff apart when i was young and just figured out how to put most of it back together

My father showed me how to do small jobs on cars, change oil, brakes repair replace minor items. I have always enjoyed working with my hands and either fixing, building or creating something. I am self taught and proud of my past mistakes, I have properly fixed many of those now. I did fail a small engine class at a local community college once, a new night shift job hindered my ability to make it to class, regret taking the job as it was only a set back but that is life.

Motorcycles have been a passion of mine from the time I was 7, I was given a trailhopper 50 that was said to of been found in the trash. At 13 I blew up a 79 rm 125, at the time I had no idea how to fix it, but I tried....and failed, m father had no interest in rebuilding anything so It was all me, I over tightened and broke studs and bolts left and right I had no understanding of the two stroke principal and couldn't comprehend why the skirt of a piston would "just break off for no reason"... I still own that bike and its still a sad reminder one day I will pull it in and do it justice but the garage is full.

I have a 90 K1500 that is my "hot rod" the one I will never sell
The motor blew once and a crate motor replaced it, my brother helped with that, I was 16
Then gas prices went high and I bought a small car, kept the truck just in case. The truck sat as it needed some work and then as I brought it back on the road the trans let loose. it would sit for another six years.
within the last two years
new/used trans
alternator
power steering pump
all new brake lines
new calipers
rear brakes all new but the drums
U joints
headers
egr
body mounts were rotted had a metal shop make up some plate disks
prothane bushings
shocks
just got a new tank sending unit and pump will install that soon 3-28-13
and the list goes on

Rebuilt a few other bikes
Roofing, some electrical re wired garage and few other small things.

To be honest I do all of my own work only hire someone if I dont have the time or the results could end poorly. Spend a few days on google and almost anyone can do anything
