I have a DW 735 and it has been a good machine. I've run maple, cherry, walnut and soft woods with no problems. It is definitely a good idea to get the table extensions or make your own in-feed/out-feed tables. The blades are 2-sided so if they get dull, just pull it out and flip it over.
