Agreed ... on a heat gun, corded will always beat cordless on performance. But there are those handful of use cases where a cordless that provides mobility beyond an AC power outlet will be "just right".
I thought they got commissions on ITC memberships and extended warranty sales? If they do, that's fine. I'm just wondering if they set the prices for extended warranties to get as much as they can, or if they have to offer a fixed list price for the warranty.

I understand that HF cashier's earn a commission on extended warranty sales. Does anyone know if the warranty price they quote you is a fixed price that all customers are quoted? Or does the cashier have discretion to make the warranty price any figure above some minimum?
