    Help me finally pull the trigger on a router

    My brother and I have a Bosch 1617EVS and like it a lot. It was our go to router for both table and hand work till my brother bought a JessEm router for the table. Now we just use the Bosch for handheld work. Its a good router for either operation. In the table I've run up to a 1-1/4" radius...

    Sawzall Pruning Blade?

    I've had good luck with the Diablo pruning blades that are sold at home depot. (https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-9-in-5-TPI-Pruning-SAWZALL-Reciprocating-Saw-Blades-5-Pack-48-00-1301/203114830) Not super fast cutting, but nice for small jobs when I did not want to get the chainsaw out.

    Snap On vs Wiha Mini Screwdrivers

    I work in the electronics controls industry and use small drivers daily. What I typically see around are Wiha, Wera, and Klein. I've never seen the Snap-Ons in the wild, they are interesting to me, but the price is rather steep... especially considering I seem to typically misplace my 3.0mm /...

    2023 Garage Sale Thread

    Nice axe, and cant argue with the price! I'm continuing to enjoy seeing everyone's good finds, so here is another quick contribution of my own. Things have been a bit slow for me the past two weeks with a lot more misses than hits. Garage sales, while plentiful, have all been duds, for both...

    Craftsman =V= Sockets without Chrome?

    Thanks for the info and good reading material Lesserstore and d42jeep! I had known of various companies using cadmium plating during WWII, but had not realized it was done during the Korean War too. Fascinating bit of Craftsman history. Best regards, Matt

    Craftsman =V= Sockets without Chrome?

    I picked up a partial set of 1/2-drive deep sockets this past week that are different from any I have ever seen before. They are =V= series and look the part, just without chrome. The finish looks like plain steel, very similar to the circle-H or circle-BE sockets I have. Were these manufactured...

    What’s the longest extension you’ve ever used?

    Longest I've used was just under 4 ft for the upper bell housing bolts on my 4WD Tacoma just like Steve_P. It was comprised of a one 12" extension I had, and a bunch of 6" and 3" old Craftsman extensions I picked up for a buck each from a resale shop before I did the job. Sure was a lot of...

    on line (closeouts?) hand tool seller mentioned here?

    Cripe Distributing is awesome for misc discontinued tools. I've filled in a number of tools I've needed for recent projects on my trucks from them with good quality tools for very reasonable prices. They have always shipped very quickly, and if they say things are in stock they usually are...
