Looking for entire set of mechanics tools

With a 1K budget I’d look at Craigslist or other sites. I know a couple guys who made out pretty good buying retiring workers took sets. Sent from my iPhone using The Garage Journal mobile app

I’m impressed with how quickly you found that. I navigated that site for a few days with no luck. Thank you!

    Snap-On Cart info

I picked up this cart at an estate sale over the summer. I haven’t seen anything like it before. Only markings I can find say Snap-On Chicago. I’m trying to gather info on it (value?) as I have some hospital bills coming and may need to part with it. Thanks for the help!

    Work boots

Get a pair with Vibram soles. I think most are sewn on and can be replaced. The molded soles will separate and slowly fall apart. Sent from my iPhone using Garage Journal

    Work boots

I've had similar issues with boots. I had USA red wings last me about a year and a half but I really stretched that out. They had started falling apart in the first 3 months. My last 2 pairs have been Danners and they hold up great for me. Sent from my iPhone using Garage Journal

    Gates for 10' door openings

Lone wolf - You have any luck with your gate? I need one to keep my son from running into the street. I already have the gate posted above but don't want to make it a permanent fixture. I like the idea of 2 gates that can swing closed and be locked. Sent from my iPhone using Garage Journal

    **Aviation Mechanics thread**

I started working in aviation my senior year of high school at a small GA place at my local airport. Went to school and earned a bachelors degree and A&P. Had a few internships working on GA aircraft, King Airs. After college worked for Piedmont airlines on their Dash 8's but I hated working...

    knipex pliers wrench

At work, I use the 7" everyday. The jaws can expand up to 1" too. The 10" comes in handy as well but if I had to pick 1 it'd be the 7"
