I think with big wrenches cheap is ok. Theres more metal on the open ends so it's hard for the ends to spread because they are so big. Also you'll save money with import and maybe have enough left over to buy some large angle wrenches. I have some large tekton wrenches that look really nice...
Sk, blue point and Tekton have the most compact cases from what I've seen. I've had a gear wrench set that was in big case for the amount of tools in it. Proto also comes in a giant case.
If you like proto brand stuff, which I do. You can get ratchets for $30-70 range. If you wait on Zoro to have a 25% off sale you might be able to get 3 ratchets for $100
I actually have the 1055 compact and the 1150 they are both extremely powerful and good buys without spending a fortune. The 1055 can get in some tight spots with a swivel socket. Anything to save me from being so tired or sore at the end of the day is a good buy for me.
Yes sir. Normally when I need a 3/4 it's to bolt pipe flanges together. I figured I was loosing some power with my 1/2 to 3/4 but I have 1/2 drive sockets up to 1-1/2
I guess I need to get one then, the only time I've used a 3/4 impact it was a cheapo running off a 3/8 air line. Sometimes I have to rattle on bolts a pretty good bit with my aircat. My service truck already has a 1/2 air line so I should be good on feeding a 3/4 gun.
I currently have an aircat 1150 that only about a year old. Occasionally at work I have to use sockets up to 2 inch. I was wondering if an older style 3/4 impact would be more powerful than my current air cat with a 1/2 to 3/4 adapter. I'm looking at earthquake, ingersol Rand 259 and 261 and...
To me it seems like a pain to use a impact swivel with a ratchet. I don't have any gw sets but I do have sk. Sk sets are very compact in the blow molded cases compared to most other brands besides tekton. I also try to buy American when I can afford it. It helps keep another man in a job...
