It amazes me to hear that you only have very little wall insulation and it heats that well. I definitely think that some go over board on the insulation but then again it does get cold here in the Midwest. I appreciate you sharing it does help

Wanted to share some more pictures of my concrete and wiring progress. The concrete turned out fantastic , I can't thank my buddies enough for the good work! I wired an outlet every 8' and installed 8 out of 10 LED 4' lights that I bought on Amazon. I am extremely happy with the results. It's...
Looks very nice! I have been debating using all steel inside of mine, but skeptical of the echoing.. How noisy is yours inside? Did you insulate it and what did you use?

Do you have vented soffitt and ridge vent? Did they spray them closed when they did the insulation? So are you having regrets of doing the spray foam now or were you able to figure out your issues?
Thanks

They dug the holes 18" round and 6' deep I believe. Then they put a concrete cookie/footer in the hole and set the post on that and then backfilled with the post level. They then verified level again when attaching the girts.

Been awhile since I posted but I am getting concrete this Saturday! My two buddies are pouring it. They got the areas dug out for me a couple inches deeper (approx 6") for my future hoist as well which was a surprise and much appreciated. Here are some pics of the prep, just have to finish up...
I had a local spray foam company come quote me for spray foam insulation and wanted to see what you all thought. My building is 30'x40'x12'6" and is house wrapped and has dripstop on the ceiling steel. I have a vented soffitt and ridge vent, 5 36"x36" windows, 1-36" walk-in door, and 1-18'x10'...

Nice looking shop so far, please keep posting the pictures! What do you have planned for insulation and interior sheeting?

Very exciting! Is the in floor heat going to be your only source of heat? I am trying to decide which route to go in my 30x40x12. How expensive was the foam and pex and what size did you use of each, if you don't mind me asking.

Fartbox333 we just have to finish grade the dirt, then put down moisture barrier, rebar, then pour. That is unless I decide in the spring to put in floor heat in , but that is costly and most likely won't get don't.
